Hi, uke friends! This month (January 2025), the NYC Uke Squad, the casual ukulele jam group Cynthia Lin and I cofounded here in New York City, will get together twice in person to jam and sing near Astor Place and Washington Square Park, in Manhattan!

** See map below -- please ring bell and enter at 239 Thompson. There is an elevator, or it is one flight down, straight ahead.
RSVP: Let me know in the comments if you plan to attend, so I can get an idea of numbers.

Songbook: I have attached our latest (November 2024) songbook to this post. Print or download it if you're able -- we'll also project on the wall if the technology works. :)

Folks are also always welcome to bring a handful of printed copies of a song you'd like to suggest on the day-of (especially if you're willing to lead it if I don't know it). We can usually share copies if we need to, to make it work!

Free and open to the public! Our Saturday 1/18 space rental is being donated free to us by Judson, but if you’d like to bring a cash or check donation for their social justice work, arts support, and building maintenance I will pass it on to the church. Or you can contribute online here.

Thank you to our member J. for the donation of our Wednesday 1/8 space! We appreciate you!

The NYC Uke Squad was created by local musician and teacher Jenny Selig, joined by a group of ukulele teacher Cynthia Lin's online students, to bring Cynthia's Aloha spirit and uke-love to the NYC area. Cynthia's YouTube channel hosts dozens of free lessons for ukulele players.
